Virgil Abloh's Louis Vuitton FW19 Collection

This new collection, presented by Virgil Abloh shows his master craft and where he plans to take this brand in 2019. Trying to balance Off White and now Louis Vuitton, Abloh brings a new collection to the eager fans and does exactly what he does best; succeed. This collection aims to bring looks inspired by the vibes of the late 90's and early 00's by showcasing new urban looks crossed with boxy suits, illuminating prints, and large cargo pants. He really challenges the gender norms with this new collection as well, seeing a range of models in clothing that could be worn by either sex.

Something unique about the show was the music being played while the show was run. Michael Jackson covers ran through the speakers on set, and brought a nostalgic vibe to the runway, creating an event most fashion heads would not want to miss. He showcased new shoes and gloves that brought Michael Jackson-esque vibes to the models wearing these items.

This was a show worth seeing and if you weren't physically at the event, you can hop on any social media platform and find hundreds of clips from the show so you won't feel like you missed out on what is to come in this new year. The path is endless and if we learned anything from 2018, fashion is only going to grow.

The much-anticipated follow-up to Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2019 debut is unlikely to disappoint fans of the iconoclastic designer, and may even convert some previous skeptics. For Fall/Winter 2019, Abloh delivered a selection of looks that channeled the spirit of pre-‘00s urban style — boxy suits, graffiti, bright prints, and big cargo pants — updated with undeniable craftsmanship and gender-refuting styling.
